Ok, but for occasional small jobs only : Weller BP860MP Battery-Powered Soldering Iron
This unit only gets hot enough to melt solder when applied directly to the tip! As soon as you touch anything else, the tip cools down and solder WILL NOT FLOW!!! What's worse is that you need to squeeze the button constantly which makes the iron slip out of your hand on awkward jobs potentially burning yourself of something else. I gave this unit over 5 minutes to heat one small wire connection and it was completely unable to do the job. Do not waste your money or risk damaging your project!!!
